More Information
2014 was one of the weakest crops of honey we have seen since 1958. The spring started well but heavy rains and cool weather in early and mid July resulted in very little netar production. August, while clear and sunny was still unseasonably cool. The fields looked great with plenty of clover, however, the bees found little nectar. At the end of August there were many "weeds" starting to bloom. The majority of which was gum weed or Grindelia. The bees made some honey from these and it is what we call Valley Wildflower.
