This kraut is tangy (from naturally produced lactic acid, not vinegar) and crunchy and incredibly healthy for you. Cabbage is also a great source of food for the probiotics themselves, so they can survive in your digestive tract better, and establish a healthy biome in your gut. You don’t have to eat kraut solely on a bratwurst! Have it on any sandwich, burger, or as a side salad. Eat it cold to maintain the probiotic benefit, but it will also cook wonderfully in a stew or pierogi.
