A few years ago, my Dad was trying to recreate one of my mom’s long lost recipes from 35 years ago. He toiled in his kitchen for more than three months, counting every nut, precisely measuring every ingredient, adjusting this and adjusting that until…POW! Honey Bunchies was created! It wasn’t exactly Mom’s old recipe, but unexpected outcomes are some of life’s greatest joys.
Everyone who tried Dad’s bar thought it was too incredible not to share. So, with the inspiration to bring it to market, he named it after Mom who he’s always called “Honey Bunchie”. He turned my four-year-old family drawings into our signature bees by adding antennae, wings and stripes.
