Erie Coffee Roasters

Welcome to Erie Coffee Roasters!

We are Nate and Lisa Zautke: parents of 2-year old twins, Erie residents for 8+ years, and excited entrepreneurs in the world of micro-roasting. We pride ourselves in both roasting only the finest Direct Trade green beans for your coffee as well as purveying only the best specialty teas for your enjoyment. We started our coffee roasting adventure after Lisa was laid off from her corporate biotech gig and Nate was looking for a new career avenue to keep his mind busy and happy.

Over the years we've enjoyed many, many cups of some pretty incredible coffee and teas across the US; from the East, South, West, and of course, here in Colorado. Coming from biotech and pharma backgrounds, with strong experience in process analytics, we have always had an innate interest about the process of making an amazing cup of coffee and what that would look like in our hands. We began our coffee roasting journey by roasting coffee in our garage with a 1 lb roaster built for us by our friends at US Coffee Roasters.

Our mission is to provide you with beans and teas that are ethically sourced and of the best quality. We care that the growers get the most pay for their hard work. This is why we pride ourselves on only bringing in Direct Trade beans and teas.
