My name is Becky Bradshaw Parker, and I'm the creator of Beckshaw BARKery. In January 2015, I left my job in the corporate world, knowing that it was never going to be a really good fit. While I've been comfortable in the corporate world of work since graduating from Oklahoma State University in 2001, I've never been truly fulfilled. I've always wanted my work to have meaning, to make a positive difference in the world through my actions, through my work.

Fast forward to present day. My mom was diagnosed with cancer, and during the summer and fall of 2015, I was providing care and assistance for her daily while she underwent treatments. What a journey and learning experience that has been! It was an eye opener, a reality check. After months of fruitless job searches and traveling for my mom, I decided that what is best for me is to start my own business. I need to set my own hours, have a flexible schedule, and the ability to travel for family affairs when needed. I came up with the idea of starting a pet bakery because I have four pets. Store-bought treats are full of preservatives and artificial ingredients. Plus, they are pricey when you're feeding four. I knew that I could provide better nutrition and healthier treats for them.

I love to cook, love to bake, have endless fun in the kitchen trying new recipes, so here I am. With the input of my sister-in-law on the name, Beckshaw BARKery was born. My mission is to provide healthy, nutritious, all-natural foods and treats for pets at a reasonable price for the top quality ingredients used. My goals for 2016 include expanding from just foods and treats to my own line of pet beds, car hammocks, leashes, collars, harnesses, placemats, and other useful pet accessories.
